The Kentucky State Fair takes place in Louisville, KY from August 14 through August 23, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Kentucky's State Fair has been a popular agricultural event for over 100 years. Family oriented entertainment makes the fair a popular summertime festivity. World's Championship Horse Show
This prestigious horse show takes place August 17-18. World champion saddlebred horses are crowned in different devisions during this horse show, which presents over 2,000 horses. People come from all over the world with their horses to compete for more than $1 million in premiums. Competition categories include saddlebreds, roadsters, road ponies, hackney ponies and saddle seat equitation.
State Fair Miniature Horse Show
The Kentucky State Fair Miniature Horse Show takes place August 21-23. Equestrian minis compete in over 60 classes, based on size, gender and age. Categories include Roadsters, Pleasure Driving, Costume, Showmanship and Children's divisions.
